This episode is a Christmas treat for your enjoyment. I am sharing an alternative nativity story of Jesus from The Infancy Gospel of James, one of the books that didn’t make it into the Bible. This book is not particularly gnostic; it is more along the lines of a fable of the birth of Jesus, with many more plot points than the story we find so familiar. You will recognize many well-known elements, but then there are many we’ve never heard before. I’m presenting this version of the nativity with very few explanations. My main goal today is to simply share this nativity story with you for Christmas, 2021.
